Shyngys has over 30 years of senior experience in oil and gas industry. Shyngys was General Director for 7 years of Kuat Holding, the largest independent oil producer in Kazakhstan in 2009, and played a leading role in building and developing key portfolio assets of Kuat Energy Group. Shyngys holds an Executive MBA from CASS Business School and a BSc in Petroleum Engineering from Kazakh Technical University, BSc in IT Software Engineer, and Accounting degree.
Hans Braakman
Director Exploration and Production
Hans joined Kuat Energy Group in 2000. He has a wide experience in all aspects of exploration (seismic acquisition and interpretation, subsurface evaluation, exploration drilling, new venture evaluation, PSA management) and has worked together with petroleum engineers on field development. Before joining Kuat Energy, Hans had a 25-year international career in oil and gas exploration for Shell in senior positions in various countries including Brunei, Malaysia, Oman, the USA, The Netherlands, Syria and Kazakhstan. Hans holds a MSc in Geology & Geophysics from the University of Leyden.
David Walker
Country Manager, Myanmar
25 years of senior experience in Investment Banking and project development, focusing on Natural Resources, Real Estate and the Financial sector within fast growing developing markets, David has been based in Russia for 6 years and Africa for 5 years. Previously David was a Managing Director at Citi Group, Deutsche Bank and Troika Dialogue in Moscow. David also has extensive experience in the Far East gained when he was a Director of Nomura International. David holds a MA in Jurisprudence from Oxford University.
Adlet Kenzhebekov
Director of Kuat Gas Processing.
Adlet has 28 years of experience, including 20 years in the oil and gas sector, worked in various senior positions in the JV KuatAmlonMunai (KAM) company. Adlet holds an LLM (Master in Law) degree from the Queen Mary College, University of London and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Kazakh State University of Law.
